Dragon Paintings Project

In September, I worked on five paintings inspired by nature landscapes and dragons! I used gouache and ink for these paintings which are my favorite mediums besides digital art illustrations. I wanted to step into traditional art again but fulfill my love of fantasy and whimsical characters. It was fun to try something different this time and new! Perhaps I will continue this series! I hope that you enjoy them as much as I loved creating them!

The Mountain Dragon

12 x 10 x 0.010

2023

I was inspired by the beauty of mountains, trees, and rivers for this piece. I guess my inner Bob Ross certainly came out for this one.

The Cloud Dragon

12 x 10 x 0.010

2023

Simply the big beautiful clouds that surround my area have been extra fluffy.

The Bluebonnet Dragon

12 x 10 x 0.010

2023

Being a Texas Native living in Colorado now, I wanted a dragon to remind me of home. The last time I visited Texas was during the spring and I couldn’t pass up a field of Bluebonnets.

The Sunset Dragon

12 x 10 x 0.010

2023

At the beginning of Fall here in Colorado, the sunsets have been very purple and orange.

The Meadow Dragon

12 x 10 x 0.010

2023

I have seen a lot of meadows and wildflowers in just about every state I have been in. I knew I wanted to create a dragon with layers and layers of flowers.
